Tweet This AEC Firms
With the recent Ashton Kutcher and CNN competition over Twitter we think it’s safe to say that Twitter has officially reached its tipping point for consumer audiences and brands.
As in most cases with new technologies, the B2B market is slow to adapt. But many AEC firms are starting to ask questions about Twitter trends and how useful the microblogging technology may be to their firms.
In terms of current trends, we are seeing a majority of individuals (e.g. architects, a/e students, etc.) who are signing up for personal accounts. Some AEC publications are also on Twitter. And while we are seeing some firms on Twitter, they are fewer. Hello, opportunity!
There is certainly great opportunity for firms to capitalize on the viral effect of Twitter.
Why Use Twitter?
At our branding-web-PR firm we use Twitter as a delivery system for public news and information. We use the technology to disseminate data, to build a loyal following, and to expand our online branding and awareness. The web (and marketing in general) is simply a means to an end — a way to relate to your target audience groups. Twitter can be a great boost in this effort.
How To Get Started?
The best way to learn about Twitter is to dive in with both feet. You can easily create a business account to start sharing your news with Tweeples (people who use Twitter).
